You’ve invested in lessons.
You’ve spent hours grinding on the range.
You’ve experimented with every swing tip, training aid, and pre-shot routine under the sun.
And yet, your progress is frustratingly inconsistent.
One day, you’re striping it.
The next, you can’t seem to make solid contact.
You start questioning yourself, your ability, and - if you’re being honest - whether all this effort is even worth it.
Can you relate?
Here’s the truth: the missing piece isn’t your swing.
It’s your mind.
Your subconscious beliefs, emotional patterns, and mental habits control 95% of your behavior - including how you show up on the course.
If you want to play to your full potential, you have to start where your habits, fears, and mental blocks originate: your subconscious mind.
Hypnosis is a fast, effective, and powerful tool to access and reprogram it.
In today’s newsletter, you’ll learn everything you need to know about hypnosis - what it is (and is not), how it works, and how it can transform your confidence, focus, and ability to perform under pressure - both on and off the course.
Let’s tee off!
What is Golf Hypnosis?
Let’s start by clearing up a common misconception.
Hypnosis is not:
Mind control.
Brainwashing.
Someone shouting “SLEEP” and making you cluck like a chicken.
A weird party trick you saw on a Vegas stage.
What is hypnosis?
Simply put, hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation that allows you to access and reshape subconscious beliefs, emotions, and behaviors.
It’s a natural state of mind that you’ve already been in today - yes, seriously.
Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation that allows you to access and reshape subconscious beliefs, emotions, and behaviors.
A hypnotic state is characterized by an increased production in theta brain waves. You experience this state the moment you transition from sleeping to waking (and vice versa) and when you’re caught up in a good book (or episode of Full Swing), locked into a project at the office, and in a flow state on the course.
I share this with you to highlight how familiar this state is and reiterate how safe it is. Again, it’s not mind control like on stage shows and in movies.
Even more, hypnosis is a scientifically backed mental training tool that elite athletes, entrepreneurs, and high performers across all industries use to become the best versions of themselves and gain a mental edge over their opponents.
Golf hypnosis is the application of hypnosis to enhance mental performance on the course, specifically designed to help you:
Overcome anxiety and self-doubt
Develop unshakable confidence
Stay focused and composed under pressure
Let go of past mistakes instantly
Enter “The Zone” more often
Hypnosis is not magic.
It’s simply the most direct way to upgrade the beliefs, emotions, and habits driving your game.

Why Hypnosis Works: The Science Behind Hypnosis
Your brain is not hardwired.
It is constantly adapting and changing - a process known as neuroplasticity.
This means you are not stuck with the mental habits you have now.
You can retrain your mind to think, feel, and perform in ways that serve you.
Hypnosis works by:
Bypassing the Critical Mind: Your logical mind is full of doubts, fears, and negative self-talk (“I always choke under pressure”). Hypnosis allows you to quiet that inner critic and access your subconscious mind directly.
Entering the Theta Brain Wave State: This is the same state young children naturally live in, making them highly receptive to learning. It’s where deep transformation happens.
Ever heard the expression that we’re like a walking sponge the first seven years of life? This is because children under the age of seven are predominantly in a theta brain wave (hypnotic state).Rewiring Limiting Beliefs: Your subconscious mind runs on autopilot, replaying old programs. Hypnosis helps you erase outdated mental patterns and install new ones that align with your goals.
This is why hypnosis is one of the fastest and most effective tools for lasting change. Specifically, it’s the primary change modality I use to help my clients dismantle the destructive mindset programs keeping them stuck in a life of mediocrity on and off the course.

Use Hypnosis to Dismantle Destructive Mindset Programs
A destructive mindset program is an unconscious collection of emotions, beliefs, and behaviors that serve as pre-programmed reactions to particular triggers.
It’s designed to keep you safe, and it does so by creating a familiar, predictable cascade of events that keep you trapped in the cycle of two steps forward, three steps backward.
Each destructive mindset program contains the same core ingredients:
Trigger: The situation that activates the program.
Emotions: The immediate feelings that arise.
Beliefs: The deep-seated, subconscious beliefs that fuel the reaction.
Words and Thoughts: The self-talk that reinforces the program.
Behaviors: The actions that follow, keeping the cycle alive.
The good news? These programs can be unlearned.
Hypnosis is the most effective tool to dismantle these destructive patterns and install new, empowering ones.
These collectively influence your results and shape your identity.
Refer to this previous newsletter for a full breakdown of destructive mindset programs.
Let me share some of the most common destructive mindset programs I help my clients dismantle…
The Fear of Failure Program
This golfer plays not to lose instead of playing to win. He tightens up under pressure and is afraid to make a mistake.
Trigger: A high-pressure shot (a crucial putt, a tight fairway, a playoff situation).
Emotions: Anxiety, dread, nervousness, self-doubt.
Belief: “If I fail, I’ll embarrass myself and prove I’m not good enough.”
Words & Thoughts: “Don’t mess this up.” “If I miss this, my round is over.” “I always choke under pressure.”
Behaviors: Overthinking, hesitation, tense swing, lack of commitment, steering the ball instead of trusting the swing.

The Perfectionism Program
This golfer is never satisfied, always feeling like shots aren’t good enough. He creates unnecessary pressure and frustration.
Trigger: A slightly mishit shot, missing a target by a small margin, a less-than-perfect round.
Emotions: Frustration, disappointment, self-criticism, tension.
Belief: “I have to be perfect to be successful.”
Words & Thoughts: “That wasn’t good enough.” “I should never miss an easy putt.” “I need to be flawless.”
Behaviors: Negative self-talk, unrealistic expectations, tight muscles, loss of enjoyment, quick frustration after small mistakes.

The Self-Doubt Program (Lack of Confidence)
This golfer constantly questions his ability, leading to hesitation and weak execution.
Trigger: A difficult shot, playing with better golfers, recovering from a bad hole.
Emotions: Insecurity, hesitation, fear of failure.
Belief: “I’m not good enough.”
Words & Thoughts: “I’ll probably mess this up.” “I’m just not as talented as others.” “I don’t deserve to score well.”
Behaviors: Playing defensively, avoiding tough shots, tentative swings, reluctance to take risks.
The People-Pleasing Program
This golfer is guilty of rushing shots and prioritizing others’ opinions over personal performance.
Trigger: Feeling like you’re holding up a group, playing with a new group.
Emotions: Anxiety, pressure, self-consciousness.
Belief: “I need to prove I belong.”
Words & Thoughts: “I hope they don’t think I’m a bad golfer.”
Behaviors: Rushing shots, avoiding risk, hesitating over the ball.
The Overthinking Program (Paralysis by Analysis)
This golfer’s mind is flooded with technical thoughts, making simple shots feel impossible.
Trigger: Any shot requiring decision-making (club selection, shot shape, putt speed).
Emotions: Anxiety, confusion, frustration, self-doubt.
Belief: “I need to control everything to hit a good shot.”
Words & Thoughts: “Should I play a fade or a draw?” “Is my grip right?” “Maybe I should try a different setup?”
Behaviors: Long, drawn-out pre-shot routines, mental paralysis, last-second swing changes, inconsistent execution.

Hypnosis allows you to access your subconscious mind and reprogram these destructive habits by:
Releasing old fears, doubts, and limiting beliefs
Rewiring their response to pressure and failure
Installing new, empowering mental patterns
Reinforcing confidence, presence, and focus
Remember that these programs were learned, which means they can also be unlearned.

How Golf Hypnosis Benefits You Beyond the Course
It’s no secret that I work with a lot of golfers.
To date, my golfers have dozens of tournament wins, dozens more top 10 finishes, and countless new lifetime low rounds.
Yes, these are all incredible, to say the least, but the benefits they’re experiencing away from the course are equally - if not more - valuable.
Remember: golf is more than a game.
It’s a mirror - a reflection of how you think, feel, and operate in all areas of your life.
And just as hypnosis can help you unlock confidence, focus, and resilience on the course, it can create powerful shifts in your career, relationships, and overall well-being.
When you reprogram the subconscious patterns keeping you stuck in golf, you start seeing changes everywhere in your life.
Make Decisions with Confidence: Hesitating over shots? You’re probably hesitating in your business - second-guessing investments, overanalyzing risks, or doubting your leadership. Hypnosis trains your mind to trust itself, commit, and execute decisively.
Be Fully Present at Work and Home: You can’t perform your best if you’re always mentally somewhere else. If stress from work follows you home, or you find yourself distracted during time with your kids, hypnosis helps you shut off mental noise, refocus, and truly be present.
Lead with Composure and Resilience: When business problems arise, how do you react? Like a bad shot on the course, setbacks can trigger frustration, self-doubt, or rushed decisions. Hypnosis helps you stay composed, reset quickly, and lead with clarity and confidence.
Stop Rushing and Start Enjoying the Process: You rush through rounds. You rush through emails. You rush through life. But what’s the cost? Missed opportunities, strained relationships, and constant stress. Hypnosis helps you slow down, stay in control, and actually enjoy the process - on the course, in business, and at home.

High-performance hypnotherapy is the most effective way to reprogram your mind for confidence, focus, and peak performance.
